Have you ever tired the same but using Beef Short ribs instead? I did and will never go back to regular pot roast.

I'm cooking one today. I like to salt and pepper them up. Sear in cast iron skillet all sides, 2 minutes on each side. The in same cast iron skillet, cut an onion up in 8ths, spread on top and around it, in the oven at 350 with cast iron top, 5 hours it is done and delish.

Mississippi Pot Roast is one of my favorites, ingredients sound funny but its absolute heaven over some mashed taters or on a hoagie roll

looks good but I always dust with flour and brown both sides for a few minutes before the crock pot.

thickens the juice up just a little
