Had a funny thing happen today as I was fishing the discharge on Fayette County Lake. Both my Garmin UHD 93SV units quit working. When I say the quit working I mean the screen stopped scrolling. It just froze.

The water at the discharge was 105 degrees. When I moved to other parts of the lake where the water temp was around 90 degrees they worked fine.

Anyone had this happen or heard of it happening?

I have not Allen but you could check the Garmin manual or talk to their technical problem group to see if there is a upper limit temperature range. It would not surprise me that there is one and 105 degree water is to much for them.

It did it again today. So i am sure there is something in the software that is turning off the transducer at high temps. i didn't try my livescope transducer. sure don't want to damage that one.
