I have a 99 model Chrysler with 50,000 miles on it only. It runs like a top and I have it inspected every year with no problems. This year maybe it’s the Biden influence of moving out older vehicle’s but the inspection comes back and says a bunch of problems with O2 sensors and the heater 02 sensorall , and that silly stuff that really doesn’t matter.
Anyone figured out how to get around all that bureaucracy and get the safety inspection done?
Would extra $20 s help

The surest way to do it is to live in a county that doesn't require emissions testing.

If its failing all of those test then I presume the check engine lights on, correct? If so, did you think they were just going to ignore it during the inspection? Take it and get the codes read at one of the auto parts stores, may be a simple as replacing a single O2 sensor.

Take it and get the codes read at one of the auto parts stores, may be a simple as replacing a single O2 sensor. This^^^^^^^^pretty simple.

Also for a 1999 model year you can have two sensors in a not ready state and still pass the Texas inspection, though none can be in a failed state.

If the check engine light isn't on then either the light doesn't work (easy enough to check) or you have more than two sensors in a not ready state. If any of the sensors were in a failed state the light would be on. Did you disconnect the battery recently? If so, you may just need to drive it some more until all of the sensors have had a chance to complete their test.

No lights on.Idb take it have it scanned anyway just to see.

Put some higher octane no ethanol gas in it, take it for a drive on the highway for about 30 miles. Romp on it a few times to blow all the build up out of the engine and exhaust.
Then take it to a different inspection shop. If you still get errors take it to a parts place that can diagnose it.
Hold on to it for a while. I think at 25 years they can be classified as classic/antique and as long as you only drive it a couple thousand miles a year an inspection isn't required.

I'm no auto mechanic but it appears part of the problem is a burned out check engine light.
