If you were going to buy bulk braided line in lets say 3000 yard spools which brand and weight would you buy? I'm stocking up for retirement when money will be tight so I want to stock up on line in the big spools so it will last me a few years...:) I may do the same with flurocarbon line but I haven't decided which line will serve me best in Florida. Suggestions on both line types welcome...

Thanks...

Man I use Daiwa J braid 8. I use 40lb for flipping/ jigs and 50 lb for frog/ A rig fishing. I really don’t see braid as being a big cost in the list of cost. I use mono backing on my spool so I only put what I can cast and add about 30 yards for tying the life of the line. I use the braid till it’s really worn then I flip it over and use the new end. I fish a lot and I get a couple years on a spool up. I bought a 300 yd spool three years ago and I haven’t put a dent in it. I like the Seaguar invizx and it last a long time too! I also use mono backing. My choice of mono is big game. It’s cheap and I use it for all my backing. When I respool a reel with big game on it, I only replace what I can cast plus 25 or so yards. I think just doing it this way save me all the money I can on string but always have good string on my reels. My .02
