The area lakes we normally fish are flooded so my wife and I made the trip over to Cedar Creek this morning. Crazy weather with the big cloud blowing in this morning, north wind when we drove through Corsicana, calm when we got to Log Cabin boat ramp, strong south wind that crested about 10:30 and was back out of the north briefly by 11:00 before becoming calm.

We fished from about 8:30 - 11:30, caught and released 107 white bass and 1 catfish.

First spot we caught fish was Staubach hump, left there with about 40 on the clicker. Went up north to the east side of long ridge and found fish there. Long ridge had the biggest fish of the 3 spots we caught fish. The wind was blowing pretty hard and the waves were getting big at 10:30ish so we went back south to Crappie SW to find some calmer water and found fish. Finished our morning fishing there.

Wanted to give Lane with Constant Pursuit Outfitters a shout out. We saw him this morning at the boat ramp with a boat full of fisherman and he saw his thump buddies tied on our lines. We love fishing with the White Hot thump buddies tied 15” above our slabs, they are a game changer. We also use CPO slabs, white/chartreuse 1 oz. Hope you and your crowd had as much fun as we did this morning.

Did a scouting run today from 9 AM to 2:15 PM. Found fish at Crappie Island Flats on the west edge at drop-off, Long Ridge West, Key Ranch Drop-off, Iron Wall Hump, Slide Hump, Spillway Hump, and Enchanted Isle Ridge. Most fish caught in 20 to 24 fow. Ended up with 86 whites and 4 cats. Ran into Dave, Mark, Hayden, and Aden (?), who drove all the way from San Antonio to fish CC. They were catching them at Iron Wall Hump.

Thanks for the report DC. I went out today from 6:00 till 11:30 and ended with 40 in the ice bath for eating. The first of the morning bite was slow and we managed to catch about 15 or so until around 9:00 ish. Started out at Sunken Island , and went as far as Kevins Point , and only managed about 10 keepers. Ended up back at Sunken Island , and caught fish there from about 10:15 till we left at 11:30. We were in 14 FOW casting all around the boat. We started catching fish almost every cast for about 20 or so minutes with a mix of 10 inch fish to 14 inch fish. All caught on #4 silver Mepps, casting and reeling back to the boat.

Thanks for the report. I haven't been to Sunken Island for a couple of months and wondered how fishing is there.

We caught 22 whites and 3 cats this morning between 8:30--11:30. Most at Merrimac Point on Repps # 4 and my clone # 4. No hybrids.

Found some elsewhere (spillway hump / iron wall hump) but couldn't get them to bite. Didn't find much on Dam ridge where we started.

I did a scouting run Monday the 14th starting at Long Ridge and checking main-lake points and humps all the way to north of the Seven Points bridge. I was searching for 15 to 16 inch white bass in prep for the white bass tournament here on the 26th. I caught 102 whites 12 inches and larger, and with the exception of three 15 inchers, the big fish were 14 inches. I think for the tourney, which counts the 5 biggest fish, one will be fortunate to find a 15 inch or larger fish. The 5 will most likely be 14 to 14.5 inches. Fish are deep (20 to 27 fow) south and shallow (8 to 15 fow) up north.
