I rolled the dice on this potentially happening and had my vasectomy reversed back when the libs got away with stealing the election. Get ready for a bunch of little Sawhorses...Cha Ching!!! I can always have the reversal reversed if Trump wins in ‘24. Don't you have to find a woman willing to ... you know, do anything with you? Thanks for the heads up...if that’s how it works, my plan has hit a major snag.

It is a credit on your child tax credit for next year, broken into 6 monthly payments. You can only take half of it. So if you would qualify for $6k in credit you could take $3k over the next 6 months.

I agree, it is a totally bad idea. Cutting the taxes of the very wealthy makes so much more sense. Finally you have said something I can agree with. That way many of the wealthy can create more jobs and get more people gainfully employed.... Sure would not want to take any of Bezos' resources away as he helps us so much. Same for many more like him.

Isn't this just an increase to the child tax credit, paid monthly instead of at once on their 'refund'? Im not saying you’re wrong in now the IRS/Feds are treating this, but it’s absurd to treat it this way. A credit shouldn’t be paid out monthly. Our tax system is screwed jp, but if they’re calling this a credit being paid out monthly, then why am I spending time and money to file my taxes? I the IRS just knows how much to credit me, the I feel like I shouldn’t have to use turbo tax. This is my biggest issue with the tax system. It should be flat, and taxes should be a postcard they send you and you sign and send back. No deductions for anyone. Just 10% for all.

Same for many more like him. The rich and upper middle class are paying the lions share of taxes not in percentage but in overall dollars. Guys like Mark Cuban pay more in taxes in one year than most have paid in their lifetime.

Why do you want to go after his money while a large percentage of people pay no taxes? Jealous much?

Guys like Mark Cuban pay more in taxes in one year than most have paid in their lifetime. Warren was referencing a ProPublica report this week that analyzed confidential Internal Revenue Service data. (The IRS is now investigating the leak of tax returns.) It disclosed that ultrawealthy CEOs including Bezos, Tesla TSLA, -0.04% founder and CEO Elon Musk, as well as Berkshire Hathaway BRK.B, +0.67% chief executive and chairman Warren Buffett, have often sidestepped paying federal income tax in some years, or paid a “true tax rate” much lower than the average middle-class American taxpayer, by recording losses from various investments and deductions that were higher than their income. So they lost money on paper, even though their wealth from assets like stocks and bonds — which wouldn’t be taxed until they were sold — held steady. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/e...11623441075?siteid=yhoof2&yptr=yahoo

Same for many more like him. Amazon pays way above minimum wage. Employs almost 800, 000 people. Many that would probably be working at a fast food job or retail for MW. Customer service is pretty damn good. I look at it this way. If I have to buy cheap Chinese chit. May as well go with the company that has great customer service. Unlike Walmart. But then again you go by the handle donothin. No surprise that you hate someone who did something. I don't know enough about the man. Don't really care either. I also don't see you providing a service, or employing 800k people with wages more than double what MW is.

From what I understood. The monthly child payments is just advance on the child tax credit. People can opt out. That being said. There is a pattern forming with people becoming dependent on the government. I personally prefer as little government involvement as possible in people's lives.

We have an income tax, not an asset tax. Rich people who offset their "income" with deductible expenses allowed under current income tax laws can and do pay minimal taxes. Most "rich" people are "asset" rich.
If we start having an "asset" tax would we want everyone paying an annual 25% tax on cars, trucks and houses?

If we start having an "asset" tax would we want everyone paying an annual 25% tax on cars, trucks and houses? what I posted above was to show that 3 of the wealthiest people in the world pay no or a very minimal tax, they have to have income or they would starve to death so they are skipping out on what the rest have to pay. they are also all 3 liberal/socialists of the first order, bezos is the owner of the washington post which is a very socialist anti right rag. we need to go to a flat tax, no deducts and if you make less than say 50k a yr. then you maybe pay 5%. jmo

What Democrats start talking about “taking resources away” from wealthy Americans, be afraid. They have lost touch with reality. Nothing you own will be safe.
