Lake Fork water temp 81-83, 0.28 above full pool. We enjoyed a shallow water, popping frog and Buzzbait bite, recently. We’re using 50- 65 lb braid on these techniques in 2-4’ of water. On the frog, control yourself, don’t instantly react to the strike, wait until you feel fish pulling and then set hook hard, your landing ratio skyrockets.

We’ve done a little night fishing and a jig has produced the best fish. Stay safe and be prepared for the heat and humidity.
