Sounds fun, turns out it's a giant PITA. You spend more time tinkering and editing than you do fishing. Certainly not trying to discourage you though, maybe you like tinkering and editing more than fishing.

I appreciate the comment. I love to fish and don’t want a video getting in the way of my fun. That is one reason I started this thread was to get comments. I have gotten lots of good ideas from all on here and am still mulling over what I want/plan to do with the original idea. Sounds fun, turns out it's a giant PITA. I would focus more of your energy on learning to edit the videos rather than worrying about which camera to get. A well edited video on a cheap camera will still be better than a poorly edited video from a top of the line camera. I know that's not what you were asking but just wanted to mention it. Here's a camping/fishing channel I enjoy watching. I think this guy does a good job of editing his videos. Thanks for posting this, I watched 2 hours of it We need more Monty! No problem!

You need a better mount!!!! Maybe so...but you wouldn’t have said that back in the 80’s.

Man o man...I have a whole set up for you! Drone, 3 GoPro's, tons of mounts...the whole turn key operation. Haven't used it really since my days shooting rodeos.

I always hire a film crew This^^^^^^^^ And if people are watching my fishing videos they are paying big bucks for the privilege.
