Man. I hope the guy gets better. I know he’s in better condition than 90% of us. I’d never make it if I went through what he’s going through. Strange coincidence I work with someone in similar top shape, runs triathlons that's recently been diagnosed with brain cancer, with all the settlement lawsuit commercials I see of things that have been proven to cause cancer makes me wonder, if its a supplement or something they were taking. Many prayers for Aaron.

I used to see my Grandmas sister after her chemo treatment. Never seen a person look so tired and defeated. It was sad. Prayers to everyone who has to deal with this and hope for any comfort they can find.

Prayers for Mr. Martens. If I recall correctly he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme. To the best of my knowledge, GBM has one of the lowest survival rates of any cancer. I have known several people who were diagnosed with GBM and none survived two years. Ted Kennedy and John McCain are two well known public figures that fought GBM. I pray for Mr. Martens and his family, with God, all things are possible.

Indeed, prayers for all those living with this deadly disease. My nephew is battling it as I type at MD Anderson in Houston. He's had 2 surgeries and done remarkably well for the last 2 years but it has resurfaced.

Martens posted this today....
I suffered a grand mal seizure on Sunday and have been in the ICU since then. The doctors and nurses at Grandview have been great, but I can’t wait to get back to my own home and bed. They hope to discharge me tomorrow. Needless to say, while we do follow-up over the next week, I’ll have to miss the tournament that I was really looking forward to since it was announced - the BPT Stage 5 at the St Lawrence River, but I hope and pray to be back to chasing big smallies at Champlain.
