End of June/early July, thinking about taking advantage of this high water opportunity out west with my kayak for largemouth (and white bass if the largemouth aren't cooperating.)
Last year, I fished Bridgeport, OH Ivie, A. Carter, and the lakes in Jacksboro.
These are the lakes I'm considering; feel free to comment.

You mentioned Jacksboro, have you ever fished the tiny Lake Bryson. It's been many years ago but cool little lake to fish.

It's on my list of lakes to map. Just no camping, cabins, or air bnb near there. This will be a weekend deal--just a bit far for a day trip.

End of June/early July, thinking about taking advantage of this high water opportunity out west with my kayak for largemouth (and white bass if the largemouth aren't cooperating.)

You forgot mineral wells and weatherford Love both. Weatherford is a crappie lake, there are 5 bass in the whole lake. I live 10 minutes from it and gave up long ago on that mud hole

What’s so funny? To me West Texas lakes are from around Lake Brady and west. Most are low and didn't get all the rains that central and east got.
