Sure. I will try and get it posted. If you throw in waterbody records, I am over 60 species so I will try and post that list. roflmao

I have the next week off and plan on putting the tube on Meredith at least 3 times. Were you catching walleye suspended or on the bottom? Were they holding on structure or on the flats? I'm guessing by the photo that you were south and east of the tires right?

Congrats on your 100th unique accomplishment, and good luck on your world pursuits!

I caught my last walleye back in 1990, at Canyon Lake. Stocking walleye at Canyon was discontinued around that time as I recall, and they have all disappeared, as they were not self-sustaining. Do you know if the walleye in Wheeler Reservoir reproduce and are self-sustaining?

Some unusual one of a kind species have been caught in freshwater, around central Texas. For example there was at least one a piranha caught at Boerne Lake, probably came from someone's Aquarium. I believe a good size tarpon was caught from various saltwater species released into the lake after TPWD released leftover fry experiments into Braunig Lake. I believe most of the orange mouth Corvina have disappeared from Calaveras Lake but I think some of the freshwater redfish may still be around, haven't been there in at least 20 years...

I caught the walleye near the dam in 25 feet of water with a minnow on the bottom. I would try the point to the left of the tires. I saw more fish there than anywhere else. You may be a little late for the really good fishing, but hopefully the cool weather will give you good luck. Let us know how you do.

There are no signs that walleye are reproducing in Wheeler Branch.

Impressive list! There is a couple on that list that I have never even heard of.

On the walleye note, I have been stocking my freezer up this week here in East TN with walleye.......nothing better than pan-blackened walleye as far as eating-fish in my opinion.

Red snapper is my go to fish and I don’t have the opportunity to eat a lot of walleye, but I deep hooked my state record fish and it died. So, I ate it and I can tell you that state record walleye is really good. bolt

congrats on the records ,
I lived near that lake until 1982. When I fished it , it was at the high water mark you see on the Dam in the background.
Walleye are good eats.

Thank you for the compliment. Now that Texas Parks and Wildlife is changing the state record program and removing the other methods category, the 100 state record mark will probably never be beaten…unless there is another change in the program. I am so glad I made my goal before they made the current change. eeks
