These are too tall, I have some and had to hook them flat side to get hook penetration. They are ok on the back of a chatterbait but are a little too bulky. I think these are more to catch the eye of a fisherman type bait.

I catch plenty on it-5/0 Gama light wire EWG. It is a bit different from a regular fluke-Cut the dorsal fins off if you want more of a twitching action.

I have about 30 Dobyns rods and have never had a single issue with any of them.
