I've been using Livescope for about 8 months and could use some help identifying single crappie on trees. Already searched YouTube but didn't find a video. How or what do you see when they are directly on a tree and not swimming around. A video would be great and appreciate the help.

Sometimes you can just watch for the bright returns and it will look like a broken off limb, other times especially with big fish they just can't hide.....

I find my better fish single on small structure....

Live Scope like with anything else put the time in learning it and just simply slowing down will put Slab Crappie in your boat.....

Thx for the videos. So I'm guessing the hot spot of the crappie can bleed in with the tree or is this something I can fix with my settings? I noticed Asleep at the Wheel had his gain at 94.

I wonder abt the 20 degree cone angle, as distance increases shouldnt the angle in view increase?

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

...unless that is corrected through software?

In Short...single-pole trees, single bright spot = "usually a bigger fish"
Note: always get a different angle on the tree if you 1st do not see the "hotspot"
Final...The more you see this the more you will understand it.

The three main adjustments you will be making to the Livescope setting throughout the day will be Gain, Depth Range, and Forward Range. The gain will be what is best for that instance.

The father away the bigger the cone and the less accurate you are in having your jig close to the fish..... As of now I'm staying in the 4 to 8ft forward range just due to where my location is to the transducer but the 10ft forward range works very well and where I soon to be holding my jig after some upgrades......
