I live about 17 miles from Lake Fayette as the crow flies. My land has flooded three times in the last 2.5 weeks - to make the point about how much rain has been pounding our area of Texas. I'm curious if anyone has any recent info on the condition of the lake (water clarity, water level, etc.) and whether or not the bass bite has shut down due to all this new runoff?

Thank you! Might try to get over there and give it a go this week.

I fish in a kayak, not a bass boat. It's a 30 minute drive to Oak Thicket. Unless I go to the trouble to launch the boat and paddle out, I can't easily "check the conditions". Seems logical to use this forum for its supposed intended purpose - to share information and help others out. Why waste time and gasoline when a few keystrokes can answer the question?

Thank you again ChanceHuiet for helping me out.

I’ll admit it, I’m jealous that he only has to drive 17 miles. Be grateful 45er that you have a nice lake like that near you. thumb

90 miles for me. I wish someone would build a really nice convenience/gas store on the 2 ways that I drive to FCL; 159 and 237.
