There's a newish bait out called "Fishbites." It comes in a 12" strip and you cut off a piece as you use it. I've never tried it, but I've heard from a LOT of people having great success with it down at the Texas coast, fishing in the bays, surf and off jetties. It's supposed to have strong attractants and texture, etc. For catfish, it helps you avoid the lingering mess on your fingers from handling traditional catfish stink baits. Of course, the bottom line is, does it work? Just wondered if anybody has tried it and has a first-hand report. Here's a link to it, if that's permitted: https://fishbites.com/products/freshwater-fishbites-yeh-monn-freshwater-catfish-bait/

Think you're referring to the Fishbites Fishnstrips. I've used the Fishnstrips along with the Fishbites curl tail grub in the bay with success. Never in freshwater.
You get out of it what you put into it!

We use em down at the coast with a dead shrimp piece to catch shark bait. Never used em in fresh water though. This was actually the first fish my son ever caught on rod and reel and he caught it on a fish bite. He was 2.5 yrs old in that pic. He got sand in that reel and smoked it good but it was so worth it!

Great! Nice sized fish for that kid!
Still wondering if anybody's used it for catfish.

We’ve caught a bunch of Gafftop and Hardhead Catfish on em so they would probably work for channels and small blues but I would recommend using a more proven bait like Stubby’s Cheese Bait. It doesn’t stink and the guys that make it are good ol TFF boys that put a serious smack down on them Channel Cats.

I've caught catfish using the fishbites. What I like to do is when fishing punch bait I cut about a 1" piece and hook it on the treble hook and then dip it into the punch bait. It holds the smell of the bait as you load it up, and you don't have to keep reeling in to check to see if the bait is gone every few minutes.
Just one more cast!
