Noticed Caleb Kuphall's title sponsor is Piscifun (kastking type company) reels. In bassmaster's top lures article, he was clearly holding up 3 lew's reels. I can understand using non-sponsors baits, but reels are another story. These reels must really suck when the top pro they sponsor won't even use their products. But who knows, maybe the contract stipulates he can use other reels.

That's funny. Piscifun probably does suck especially for his caliber of fishing. I'm pretty sure they are mainly an amazon company.

Would be interesting to know the real story. Piscifun had a story saying that Kuphall had used their “blank blank” reel the majority of the time.

He wasn't using their rods either!

it's common in the golf world for an equipment sponsor to require a pro to carry one or two items in the bag. I don't remember the pro, but he had an equipment deal and the equipment sucked, so he carried one club that never saw the light of day. but he had his sponsorship deal.

Tiger Woods had a titleist sponsorship deal early in his career but he played with Miura irons out of Japan. Titleist found a way to slap a label on the clubs for appearance purposes. no harm no foul.

Does anyone know the details of his contract with Piscifun? Does it call for him to use their reels? Guessing no one here has a clue.

Nothing woke or "triggering," about pointing out a big contradiction. Just as the left has diluted the term "racism," to mean anything they don't like. Using the terms 'woke and triggering' when not applicable will dilute them as well.

I don't really have issue with pro using non-sponsors products. I do have a problem with the pro or company blatantly lying about using certain products when they weren't.
