Today I bought some 12ft cane poles at academy for $1.86 a piece. This thread is devoted to fish caught on cane poles. I can't wait to get a big bass on my 12ft bamboo. Some nice sunfish and catfish will be fun too. Get yourself a pole and let's see what we can catch!!!

They are always cheap. They also had 14ft ones for a little over $2 and even some 16ft poles for $3 something. These are one piece bamboo but walmart has some two pieces. I'm going to get some cane pole fish this weekend and post pics. They say to tie your line a couple of feet down from the tip and then spiral around and tie to the tip. That's incase the tip breaks on a nice fish you might not lose it.

Off to acadmey... just for this also... LOL I need to teach my daughter how to use one anyways...

Or if you want to stay truely old school, you can make your own. I've got a couple made from some bamboo growing nearby.

The telescoping ones are great I keep one in the truck at all time, you know just in case.

I went to petco at lunch and got some superworms. It is so on. I'm going to go over to a local pond after work today and wear out some sunfish and small bass. Maybe a big bass will grab it, or maybe a hungry cat.
