I am with Azul You are going to lose nets I have found that if you use a little thicker nets like 1/2 mesh nets sometimes are thicker mono and will handle a little rock or tree better but no net is rip proof. I lose alot of nets that is how it goes if your not sure about a spot use a repaired net and see how it goes you may not get as many shad in it but shad are easy this time of year. Not sure on the other nets I go with what i know and I know mono.

For what it's worth I think there is a difference in nets. I have used Fitec and Bait Buster both extensively. In my opinion, Fitec is a little easier to throw, but the Lee Fisher Bait Buster nets are tougher. I've stopped throwing my nets at the dock. There are way too many crappie condos in there. I only know a couple places left where it's safe. I like the Fitec for a deep water taped net because I think it sinks faster. I looked at the tire nets. I think those are meant to catch fishermen, not fish. I go to Cabela's and I see all kinds of gear that you don't need. They are designed to catch fishermen and not fish. I've fell victim to that stuff like everybody else I'm sure. I think the tire line nets are one of those things. Just my 2 cents...
