A friend of mine is a lure collector extraordinaire. He travels all over the world buying antique & exotic bass lures. If you have never seen a $48,000.00 Top Water Plug, here you go! It is a 1904 Heddon 100 Dowagiac Minnow. He purchased the bait with the original cardboard box. I thought it was too cool not to share.

The box is probably worth more than the actual plug.

I'm more impressed with the original cardboard box. They don't build cardboard like they used to.
I can backlash toilet paper.

Incredible find, people go nuts for those antique collectibles. Wooden duck decoys also fetch incredible amounts of money, lots of people trying to find their "rosebud."
