I’ve had good luck with two Daiwa Revros spinning reels so far. They seem well made and smooth. The Revros reels are widely available and the price is very reasonable.
Many like the Daiwa Fuego as well.

Zebco bullet is a very well-made reel. I have a couple and have landed a 8 lb LMB and an 8 lb and 10 lb hybrid with one this year with no problems. They are very solid and can cast a mile. Academy usually has them for $99.

Zebco Z02 we own 8 of them and they are the best spincast reel I have ever owned. 3 years of heavy fishing, thousands of fish caught and not a single problem. We mainly fish for crappie with them But they are tuff enough for bass too

Pretty good reference coming from you guys. I have been considering getting a couple spin cast reels to use if I ever put my float tube in the water. Their simple operation is appealing. I think they will cast lighter jigs better also. Do you have your Z02s set up with different weight line?

Yes we have 1 reel each spooled with 4lb line for casting 1/80th thru 1/32oz jigs and the other 6 reels are spooled with 8lb line for 1/16oz and larger jigs
