Well I was hoping that my favorite lake wouldn't be too off from all the rain lately since it's a big lake and pretty clear. I was right, visibility wasn't much different than it has been normally. The baitfish started thrashing around the shore at about 6:45 and like clockwork bass started jumping. I had an OK day, didn't catch a lot, or anything big, but I didn't land 3 bass.

I saw two carp trying to spawn get in a fight with a very dark catfish who was trying to raid their "nest" that they haven't even finished yet, that was a first. Also saw some egrets and a heron. I saw some decent sized bass jumping every once in a while, but they would never bite my lures of course. The water felt like it was around 68-75 degrees and felt very fresh, I even took a quick swim. OK day overall.
