There is a freshwater report section. At best the post belongs there. 30 fish for a whole day on Fayette is not a great day by any stretch. There are a bunch of lakes putting up great numbers right now and all this guy did was add pressure to an already small and over fished lake. Not sure how that information benefits anyone, least of all Fayette.

A “fishing report” on a “fishing forum”? The nerve of some people........

Even Dustin Connell and Jacob Wheeler just went to this gem of a lake...

Y'all should head on over to catch some.

That lake makes “all” fisherman feel good about their abilities, hence posts like these. I bet you would get more “likes” on FB.....

Cool to hear they still have eggs.

The "worked over, or over pressured" dialogue has been going on for 20 years. is this year it will receive too much pressure?

Everyone wants any lake to themselves. Just human nature.

Yes you can catch numbers but you have to constantly adjust. I have many areas that I have caught more then twenty but go back on the next trip and don’t get a bite on them. My previous trip I caught most in one area but only managed a couple this time. Had to scout to find two other areas that produced. But I am running out of new areas to scout.

Good Lord.... there are some seriously miserable people on here. G-rant, thanks for your post, I for one enjoyed it. It was informative, interesting, and led to a discussion about the weird spawn we have seen in all of our lakes. Some of you not only want "your" lakes to yourself, but you also seem to want this forum to yourself. Please ask your Dr to increase your Xanax rx.

You and Grant are both new to the forum from your post count. Welcome. Glad to have you. Great group of people on here with vast collective fishing knowledge. Just about everyone is more than happy to share most of what they know. An exception might be detailed public information on exact spots or lakes. I think most guys get that. Outside of that everyone will share just about anything. Heck, privatively a lot of guys will even share spots! That said, a lot of folks, myself included are sensitive to what fishing pressure can do to lakes. The internet can ruin a good thing quick. It's a public forum, you are of course welcome to share whatever you want, but saying certain lakes are "hot" isn't helpful to the fishery in my opinion. This spring has been fantastic on a whole bunch of lakes all across Texas. No Xanax needed, I just fish. 2cents

I understand that, but the OP obviously didn't. and I totally get how social media posts can add unbelievable pressure to a small lake. I fished a tournament at Choke Canyon last Saturday and the point we ended the day on had 22 bass boats and even more kayaks on it. But ya'll going Debbie Downer on the guy was really lame. He was excited about his day, and what to him were good numbers.
