Is their someone that does install on this side of the metroplex? I just got a garmin force and need it installed. I talked to David at shut up and fish and with both our schedules it will be June 3rd before it can get done plus Lewisville is a good drive from Crowley...

Thanks

You can do it as Campion1 said - of course mount the bracket first then add the motor. I had holes for both motorguide and minnkota so you will probably need to drill some - only two of the 6 holes matched up to the previous ones.

The holes match with the ultrex. No new holes needed on your boat

mine fit where my fortrex had been, no drilling.

couple of hints.

do ALL updates prior to putting it on the water. active capt. will auto download them to your phone then link phone to tm wifi, super simple but they can take a while to load to the tm. active capt. will also auto register it with garmin for warranty.

when you orient the compass in the force do it SLOWLY, rotate the boat on 1 and be on water as flat n smooth as possible. same with remote the slower you turn it the better it seems.

be sure you orient the head as parallel to boat centerline as you can, you will see when you get to that part.

hard wire the foot control along with the AA batteries, only take a small amount of 12v so about any wire you can tap is good, it is also fused.
be sure to adjust the pedal tension before you install/use, easy to do in the living room with a screwdriver.

you will like the force I think, used mine on fork last weekend in strong wind sat/sun and never a hiccup or loss of power late in the day (6-8 hr. days on water) and the only time I ever touched it was to move.

I have mine on 36v.
