Abbott made an Executive Order today that no government entity, public health authority, municipality etc can issue a mask mandate or require mask wearing. Also public schools cannot require mask wearing.

I bet Adler and Austin are pissed.

Not too sure the governor has the authority to override a public health authority. But, it's a good idea to rein in those power hungry local politicians. And (this is gonna pizz off some lefties) the science supports it! roflmao

I have not worn a mask since the CDC announcement last week. Been in a lot of stores no one asked me to put one one yet. Strangely enough the store with the most masked folks was Academy. I was a bit self conscious there as for a bit I was the only one I saw sans mask. Finally saw someone else and even though I got a few looks from employees no one said a word. I will keep a mask in my pocket for now but no plans to wear one unless store says it is their policy. If they do I will comply but thinking it probably won’t happen.

Looks like he does have that authority.

We are all for local control, as it is the conservative way, until we are against it. Nothing that requires us to be consistent.

Actually we are not for local control, we are for common sense. You can wear your mask to bed for all we care.

Better yet, move yourself to California.

I haven't wore one this year. I did get asked to wear one at a Plano pizza joint I've been eating at for years yesterday. I politely refused and left.

Wear your mask if you want to. This has no effect on that.
