Oh Hell!
These new morning people SUCK to put it lightly. Couldn't listen to them for more than about 5 minutes today.
Understand that had to replace the child molester, but geez these guys are horrible.

Most of the Ranch djs speak in a manner that is so over the top redneck and moronic I just have to flip. I think they consider not having all their teeth a plus.......

Most terrestrial stations are syndicating the DJs esp the morning guys.
Its cheaper. They find some bland generic tools to do a weak "morning zoo" act and just send it out to 100 radio stations. I am pretty sure about every radio station is owned by one of three companies at this point.
Local radio is all but dead. Its all about the podcasts, music apps like Amazon and Pandora, there is niche out there for satellite radio....but local radio is now one step above a high school newspaper as far as influence and ability to pull advertising dollars.
But thats what they get! Playing the same 8 songs over and over, lame DJs doing super lame tired bits, and 27 mins of commercials an hour... I do not see the appeal.

I've been saying for years that their accents are very forced ans sound fake. They also seem to play the same songs over and over again.

I listen to 96.3 at 8:20am for the second date update. Then itโs iHeart radio all day after that.
105.3HD2 (krld...maybe) is good for the driving to and from work. News, traffic, and weather all day.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.
