Best I can tell you're hangin' on here by a thread(pun intended). Better toe the line, shape up or git shipped out! Only team players allowed! GOT IT!

It's not what a man knows that bothers me. It's what a man "KNOWS" that ain't necessairly so that has me conserned.

...Before anyone thinks Doug is being serious to me, we are buddies and he’s just playing...

Yes sir! My (insert brand of boat) is the super duperest, fastest, bestest, prettiest, bestest riding boat that I’ve ever had! The family network connection has made my wildest dreams come true.
fish

I’m available to be bribed, by any brand, feel free to send those pro staff offers to me....for just a few dollars, I will pull a pros monologue every week about how “great my (Insert brand) powered motor and (insert brand) boat got me to those black bass’s and I couldn’t have done it without them. It’s the best boat that I have ever owned”!

Edit: It would be interesting to see if Ranger/Nitro has had their sales go up with this new tournament series vs having a bigger pro staff.

Ken, Sorry we derailed your thread. Can you do a video of your boat (layout and running) if you get time, I know you’ll be a lot busier now with the new bambino, might not get any free time. It was funny how you had the Ranger & Vexus drive-by’s, that was a nice touch. roflmao

As an owner of one of those 2 Johnny Morris brands, I went thru a similiar analytical approach as Ken, although I didn't get to drive the boats, had to depend on youtube, etc. I added another column called "value" which was the cost of the boats as well. I could've bought any of them but one came out clearly ahead when I put emotion aside and just stuck to my chart. I hope we get a video of Ken and the young boys doing 75 if the wife will allow it!

Great-Scout,

The CoVid bump in Marine has greatly expanded Nitro sales before the US Open announcement. Ranger sales are lower and they’ve flipped (reversed) in their market positions. Ever boat company is having trouble keeping up now.

Supplies of raw material, staff shortages and engine/accessory supply is throttling back what could have been record growth percentages, not record numbers.

Newer and smaller companies are growing exponentially with little custom order demand they can have product in showrooms and in the distribution channel for sales to walk in traffic. You should see annual growth in all companies. And a similar inventory position assisted Nitro in a huge Q3 period as CoVid shock from Q2 lapsed. Due to shorter inventory available Q4 was not as significant in growth. For larger established companies Q1 will also be regulated by the supplies issue and other above.

Everyone’s going outdoors and from a base level mountain bicycle to an expensive Class A RV supply is short.

Valid points. I stopped by our local dealership and she laughed when I asked her where all the new boats were. bang

Just recently bought a new cat and am coming out of a ranger 520. I love my new kitty but there is a bit of a learning curve driving it. About 67 and panic sets in lol

Bass Cat was great and my options were Rockwall up here or Ross down south. I've worked with Tommy at Rockwell in the past on my Mercury's and he's been great, but the boat stays at our place at Rayburn 90% of the time, so it just made sense to work with Ross, less than 25 miles from Zavalla to Ross in Lufkin.

Next to Fred at Diamond Sport, Tommy at Rockwall is about as good as it comes.

Not sure I need to comment, but without comments there is no forum. So here goes: As always Ken did a great job, whether you agree or disagree I find it hard to believe anyone could do a better more detailed evaluation of the boats reviewed than Ken did, and I think that's why I like his channel. I always feel you get the real deal no matter what the subject/content etc. I follow a lot of content on the web, but always make sure I watch Ken's vids for reasons stated, and its always relevant and has value. Personally would not have been my choice, but again this was Ken's boat purchase and he was just sharing. But also, how great to have Bass Cat leadership as part of the process and contributing to the thread. So good. If only they would "update" the internal layout of the boats. Can't beat that hull design. Thank you Ken ,and keep it going!

I'm sure with the YouTube views, he paid for most of his boat. Funny how that works.

If it paid for even a small amount of his boat then great for him, sounds like he’s a genius and a lot of others, including myself, aren’t. I’ve done some minor video and editing and it’s a lot of work, very time consuming. Plus, the equipment isn’t exactly cheap.

As much time as he spent doing those videos, I hope it paid off for him!
