They look Q, why'd you even buy them? Comfort my Man, I don't give about looks! If you said they were killing your feet! So...which is it? “Good looking” or “comfort”? Haha. Obviously you picked those out based on looks. C’mon.....were the care instructions in Spanish? You know I’m just messin....it takes confidence to wear those around other workers. Didn't even get a chance too Knockout a Hole in extra Insole I add ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/05/full-62802-96568-16210403257623299364858590252325.jpg)
I'd Tack That!!

Well. I couldn’t recommend Justin either. They use some cheap, soft gut leather on the soles. Where I work, we have to wear work boots with rubber soles. The Under Armor boots I wear look like I jacked em off a swat member. They are comfortable though. I dig the boots though. I wonder if I could rock a pair of those with some cargo shorts on one of our episodes.

2 yr. old cheap azz Brazos boots are done. Busted seams and scuffed to hell but I'm an old and dont have to work as hard as you youngins. They're still comfortable. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/05/full-30685-96572-20210514_200404.jpg)

I just bought a pair of Redwing Irish Setters. Most comfortable boots out of the box I've owned in years. Got pull-ups instead of lace up. Steel toe and square/wide. Only had them a week but happy so far ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/05/full-1417-96558-20210514_193718.jpg) Red wings are more expensive but they will easily last 10 years.

I quit wearing pull ons MO. I know normally they last longer because there’s less threads to burn up but I’ve never found a pull on that’s more comfortable than a good lace up in our line of work. That heel slip will kill your feet.

That heel slip will kill your feet. Since I started driving I’ve gained a bunch of girth. It’s either pull on boots or leaving my shoes untied.

Not for what MaggedOut does. He’s on the verge of being on fire all day every day.

One year of dirt, mud, concrete, mortar, stain and anything else on the job. Merrell is all I wear. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/05/full-6737-96599-merrell.jpg)

Ariats or Hytest for me and they both are great. The Hytest composite toe lace ups are the most comfortable boot I have ever tried on, right out of the box. Best part is right around $150 with tax.

How do y’all feel about glued soles versus stitched (I believe the formal term is welt)? Have had my share of either work boots or hikers that have had the sole delaminate from the upper. Stitched construction is definitely more expensive, but last longer from what I’ve seen.

Used to be a big fan of Ariat 6” lace ups flex pro. Their glued soles come apart .

I don't know if they are as good as they were, but I hooked poles in some Redwing climbing boots in East Tex, West Tex and OK for a couple years and then gave them to an East Texas tree pruning buddy who resoled them and climbed the pines of ET. Those were some good boots. Expensive on the front end but worth it in the long run.

Thorogood. Only boot i will ever get again. One thing I do to any boot is add sole insoles that you heat and they mold to your feet. They aren't thick but they are extremely comfortable.
