welcome to TFF! As for bank fishing Amistad. I fished it a couple of times from the bank while waiting to fish with a friend who has a boat. The lake has some very deep drop offs. Need to be very careful. There is a national park area Never been there . Would suggest getting a map. Oh yea. I caught some descent Bluegill while bank fishing. Caught some super nice bass while fishing from the boat. thumb

So I spent a couple hours Saturday poking around at Governor's Landing day use area. Caught a couple of sunnies and 1 white bass. I was trying different things but got all my bites on a 1/6 oz copper Colorado spoon by Thomas. Not a very auspicious start but I had fun. Guess that's the point.
