I’m not feeling well, kind of feels like a bad cold. Lots of congestion and my head feels like it’s in a bucket. I wonder if putting Vicks Salve inside my Cpap mask would be the greatest idea in the world or the worst?

I think it’s a great idea.

Does thing generate any heat? If so, could you use the latent heat and souse vide a crappie while you sleep?

There is a heating option, but ......wait, that’s not a bad idea. I could wake up at 3:00 and eat a well cooked, tender flaky fillet.

Let me know how it works out. My nose dries up something fierce and I’m constantly fighting bloody noses, unless I put a little Vaseline in my nose before turning the CPAP on. Vicks might even be better.

Doesn’t the cpap have a water receptacle?
If it doesn’t call the dr. that prescribed it, if your nose dries the machine needs a water tank, drying nose is common because of the airflow-

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

If you don't have a CPAP humidifier an alternative is a cold air humidifier next to the CPAP itself.

If Vicks is needed it could be used on a cotton ball that would be placed near the CPAP filter.

I used to have a Vick's steam inhaler that used small pads . I'm not sure if Vick's salve is recommended for direct contact with mucous membranes . I'd go with the above ( cotton ball) method .

Btw , the "foot thing" does help . I don't know why but it does .

I got a persistent sore on my nose from my nasal mask. Can't get it to heal.

Boy or boy, is this what I have to look forward to? My primary physician is setting me up for a sleep study in the next few weeks. I have started snoring worse per the wife and my morning blood pressure is getting high. The doctor said that both are signs of sleep apnea, so I bet I will be getting a CPAP machine in my near future.

Welcome to the hose. Had it since my 20's.

If you get the same sleepy study that I did, you are in for a real experience. They put wires on every part of my body except my tongue. There was no way in the world that I could have gone to sleep. Have been using a Resmed APAP machine for about 4 years now. I don't really know if it stopped my apnea but it stopped my snoring, which lets my Wife sleep! A little hint - trying out several different masks in the first few years is normal.

Be safe,
Rayzor

Once Texas legalizes pot, I’m going to use my machine like a bong.
