Thought this might be similar to the Jim Devil's Cut. It's not. This is the only new stand out I've had recently and its for all the wrong reasons. Just has a funky taste that makes me want to shave my tongue. Would not buy again.
Been missing on picks a whole lot lately. Other unworthy's:
Rebel yell- no flavor Very Old Barton 100 - all black pepper Evan Williams 1783 - pretty good but same price as BIB????

Well that is some disturbing but good news as I was going to try some JB Double Oak. I like Beam & Devils Cut, but if it tastes that bad not even going to waste my time.
Reality. What a concept!

Looks like you are keeping it under $30 a bottle, which I fully support. If my memory serves you’ve already tried Early Times BIB and Evan Williams single barrel, which I think are the best two under $25/$30. I remember when Evan Williams single barrel was right at $20
If you haven’t tried already, others under $30 worth trying.

Old Forester 100 is excellent. I will look for the others. Ps- Early Times BIB is becoming my choice for a daily sipper. The more I drink it, the more I like it.

Good to know. I heard of it, and I LOVE Devils Cut, but if you and I possibly have the same taste, I wont waste the money.

Lately all that I've tried have tasted like gasoline. Heck pretty soon whiskey will be cheaper then gas.

Devil's Cut is really good, and I have 10 or 11 left in the cabinet. They are supposed to release it as a permanent offering, but I haven't heard when it will start.

Tried it but wasn't impressed. Prefer Evan Williams BIB or OGD 114

I have a bottle of JB Double Oak on top of my fridge. I'm not a bourbon snob by any means but for the price, it isn't bad. If there is something better in the same price range I am all ears.

Larceny would be my first pick at about $25. The Devil's Cut is better, as mentioned. Evan Williams BIB, Early Times BIB, Wild Turkey 101 are all better. Old Overholt Rye is better. Over $25, I can name a bunch.

Well...went shopping. Came home with Old Forrester 100 for $23. Dang happy about that. Lot cheaper than last time.
