Anyone know how the Crappie are on Lewisville right now? I haven't been out in months and was looking to see if they are post spawn?

I fished twice last week, three hours late morning each time, and caught a lot of small fish; only three keepers - 13 & 14 inchers. Most brush piles were loaded - near shallow water. Also, some fish on timber on the west side of lake. My Active Target is really working well and clearly shows the fish moving around. Good luck.

All this rain is putting a lot of new water in the lake and the gates are letting a lot out too. Will make "catching" really difficult in the coming days, but the fishing will be nice. crazy

Lewisville has been horrible the last several years. To the point that I don't even fish it for crappie much in the summer anymore. It fishes better in the winters for me. With that being said, there are fish there but are spread out and not in the numbers they used to be. If I was to look for crappie there, I would be looking on bridges, shallow brush and shallow timber.

I fish it at least twice a week...the fishing to me is still better on the north end of the lake...however I did fish the south side (colony) once last week and it is showing signs of life especially brushpile and timber grin

I normally don't venture to the North side of the lake. Generally stay in the cut on The Colony side/the dam/West of the 35 bridge.

You might try the bridge on the north side - near Little Elm.

Would the toll bridge work also? Don’t mind trying a few spots this weekend just figured it’s gonna be muddy water and nasty

serj5150 You say Little Elm bridge. Is that the long toll bridge that you are talking about or the bridge by the boat ramp?

The toll bridge has been horrible the last few years. Not to say you can't catch fish on it but it's not like it used to be for sure

SangerCrappieMan yes sir right next to the Little Elm boat ramp. I want to say it's called the Eldorado Bridge confused.... Anthony I definitely agree about the toll bridge... maybe it's different times of the year but I don't really fish it too often.

Haven't been over there in a few years. If the rain will pause I might run over with my dad and boys to see if we could pick up some keepers.
