Mom and Dad were together for a little over 30 years when he passed in 83. She never remarried and passed in 94.

My parents 52 years when my dad passed, in-laws 66 years, the wife and I are going in 27 years...
What is this “divorce” thing you speak of?

Parents were married 50 years, I'm on 26 years.... we stick it out in this family no matter how sick we make each other lol. I commend you, and all those who live the concept of commitment. The laws of human attraction are just as true as the laws of gravity, buoyancy, electricity and all the other natural laws uncovered since the universe began. Fact is, opposites attract...and then they drive each other nuts the rest of their lives. If both people in a marriage accept that fact, learn to see the beauty of it, God’s humor in it...and just embrace it, there will be no divorce.

We stayed together because of the kids...... neither one of us wanted them. Joking...............Uglyshtick
