I found this article from 2014 on the first kayak tournament ever held at Flamingo. I'd just moved back to Texas in 2013 and was watching the write ups and stories. I knew this would kick some folk"s azz.  There were other articles written I couldn't find.. there was one from one of the guys that was in a Hobie that left his kayak and hiked back ... it was incredible to read his account.
