Any of you guys ever use a sea eagle inflatable for fishing small ponds and if so what are your thoughts?

I haven't used sea eagle but I've been told my Solstice is like a clone of a sea eagle and I love it. They are supposed to be very high quality. I catch all my fish out of inflatables.

Sea eagle makes great boats. I have had two and liked them both very much. I liked my kayak in small waters more than the inflatables. Would a yak be a possibility?

I just ordered a 6 man Soltice at $129.00 The kind you can put a trolling motor on. When I ordered I read that he motor doesn't come with it. My question was..Does the trolling motor mount come with it? I'll find out somehow. Description does not say anything about the mount. Would a 12V lawnmower battery work okay? If ya got one of the rigs, boat, let me know how ya rigged it.

A 12-volt deep cycle sealed battery would probably be the best choice, especially if you're going out frequently, and/or draining the battery down pretty low, a lawn mower battery won't last. Good battery mounts are needed to keep a liquid-filled battery upright because accidental acid spills from a tipped battery could quickly cause severe Burns. But a lawn mower battery can give you an idea of how everything works and if you will need a bigger battery for your trips. Try to launch into the wind, so you can be blown back while paddling, should you run out of power.

I have a Sea Eagle 350fx kayak and love it. It's their most rugged kayak; the one rated for class IV rapids. I chose this model because I drag it down rip rap to launch in areas where that is the only option.
If I were to purchase a Sea Eagle as my only kayak, I'd get the 385fta. It's their best tracking kayak designed for fishing.
