The reentry window is narrowing to 2300-0900 UTC, (6 pm - 4 am central) tonight and tomorrow morning. During this window it will overfly the US twice, including Texas to NJ and a prior orbit that will fly over Florida approximately between Tampa and Orlando at 03:18 UTC (10:19 central). If it's still in orbit, it will reach Texas beginning at 04:46:11 UTC (11:46 central). It would be south of DFW at 04:47:42 UTC (11:47 central) and Washington DC at 04:52 UTC (11:52 pm central).

The reason it’s hard to nail down the exact impact spot is the fact it’s traveling so fast and will break apart at different altitudes as it comes down based on drag variables. It’s hard to wrap your mind around just how fast it’s traveling but maybe this will help. When it's over Texas in orbit traveling at 18,000 mph, it only takes 2 minutes to go from Big Bend to Texarkana. It only takes 6 minutes to fly between Big Bend to NJ. Once it starts to break apart it slows down drastically.

The predicted final Texas orbit includes Big Bend, Langtry, west of Junction, SE of Menard, Brady, Goldthwaite. West of Waco. Hillsboro, Lake Whitney, Aquilla, Bardwell, South of DFW, Kemp, Cedar Creek Lake, west of Athens, Canton and Gilmer, Lake Fork, Dangerfield, Wright Patman and Texarkana. The orbit continues east over Memphis, Nashville and Washington DC, then NJ.

Chances are still good for a water impact but other landmasses in the predicted final orbits include: India, SE Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and Central America, northern South America, southern Europe, north and east Africa, the Middle East and the Caucasus. The reentry predictions will continue to improve as we approach the afternoon.

I updated the actual track in Google Earth. The paths in orange show the orbit path before reentry.

Folks are sure going to be upset if it "accidentally" falls in D.C.

When GW Bush was Prez I seem to remember us blasting a satellite that was hurtling toward Earth and it was kept very quiet. So if we have that capability lets see if Sleepy Joe will pull the trigger!

Space Force is predicting it will impact on the orbit before it reaches Florida and two orbits before it would reach Texas and Washington DC. If it doesn’t impact on the expected orbit, on the next orbit it will overfly Florida at 03:18 UTC (10:19 central) and the following orbit, it will cross over Texas beginning at 04:46:11 UTC (11:46 central). It would be south of DFW at 04:47:42 UTC (11:47 central) and Washington DC at 04:52 Z (11:52 pm central).

Maybe everyone should sit outside with a gun at 4:46 and shoot at it as it passes? Why not?

No doubt Trump's fault.
