Has anyone been fishing out there recently?? I'm heading out camping with a friend and plan on throwing from the bank. Plus our spot is right on the lake, just curious if anyone has had luck and what they're using lure wise. I'll probably throw a fluke, grub tail, and shakey head. Input welcome and appreciated.

Invest in a pair of waders to get you a little off shore. This will allow you to fish parallel with the shoreline, overlapping cast and fan fishing from the bank out to deeper water. I like the Mepps Black Fury #3 for this presentation. It will catch everything that is up shallow including the bass.

You might want to try behind the spillway too. My neighbor goes there a lot and has a blast catching hybrids and good catfish too

It's spring, you don't need waders. Just go fishing!

You might try minnows. They will catch anything. I hear catfish have been biting pretty good. Like Kodyjoe said "Good luck on catching LMB's".

Merrit is on the southwest side Go down boat lane 3 and go right little ways then head to the south bank. Not deep at all across the big flat. Used to be good crappie fishing there
