Headed to sandlin for the weekend. Was hoping to put my wife on a couple of fish for Mother’s Day. Just maybe looking for some suggestions on what to throw. Crappie? Maybe. We will catch anything biting for fun! Thanks

Best bites were along the north shore, main lake, shallow points, SHALLOW! But they are calling for 25 MPH winds on Saturday so those areas will be tough. Millionaire Cove has plenty of brush piles though with Crappie on them, and you can find them on docks mid-way back as well, spotted bass are with them.

Tough weekend wind forecast to really enjoy Bob Sandlin this weekend.

I've been on Sandlin today. Caught over 50 crappie. Had 4 keepers! Lots of little ones in 10-15 ft. Out of curiosity I went up in a small cove and saw a couple nice bass still on bed. Water clarity is pretty bad for bed fishing, for me anyway. Water temperature 72.

If I were headed there for ‘most anything’ I think I’d be throwing a miniature spinnerbait or beetlespin up shallow from main lake points to half way back in the coves.
