The stand is hideous so I'm going to build a new one. Gotta go through all the equipment and see what's usable and whats not. Its gonna be a while until its up and running. If anyone has LARGE aquarium experience... I WILL have questions.

First thing I’d do is fill it up and let it sit in the garage for 3 or 4 days. If there are any leaks or seepage then just get rid of it. You really don’t want to trust a 100 gallon tank to a DIY repair job.

Assuming no leaks, go ahead and just buy a new filter for it. The seals go bad pretty quick once they dry out and it will be easier to start fresh with a new one. Just like a trolling motor, better to have a little too big filter than little too little. You want your filter to cycle minimum 4x per hour based on your tank size.

Beside the filter, there should be no issues reusing any other equipment that came with the tank.
