Drove down to Boisdarc Lake bout hour ago to see how much it was up. Texas Parks and Wildlife showed up with another 3000 Floridas to put in the lake. Guy told me that its about at 25 percent right now but be up a little more the next few days when last nights rain gets there.

Nobody get too excited bout fishing it anytime soon. Guy that i talk to all the time said he thinks they wont open it up for fishing till bout spring 2024. Said they have a long list of things they have to go by and safety being number one with all the trees and debris that will be floating when it fills.

Yeh...let’s open it up to wake boats and jet skis first!

Great news! Can't wait to fish this lake... Sure hope it isn't another Cooper Lake situation though... Seems TP&W are really doing their due diligence and making sure this is done right!

They need to stock like 300,000 F1s. But really a new lake stocks itself pretty good.

I have only fished one major lake when it was young and that was Richland Chambers and when I was a kid those big cookie cutters would hit that 3/4 oz. bulldog spinnerbait and try and rip your arm off. I hope this lake will be like that, closer than texoma, all though i love the big T

I am shocked I can't get the alerts of a new status from them, even though I am following... Up 15 feet in 2 weeks!!! We're in good shape. They started the stocking program 2 years ago, iirc so we should have some adults in there by the time the lake fills. I wonder if they'll relocate some older fish at some point too...
