My neighbor had to put a fence around his pool because his lab developed skin problems from the chlorine. At least it knows how to get out. One neighbor lost a Bassett in pool and another lost a Jack Russell.

Trying to break a Brittany of being fond of water would be cruel at this point. And also not going to happen. Trying to break it of getting in your pool is totally different. My lab used to fetch birds, but he’s never once attacked our chickens. Figure out how to train your dog, maybe take it somewhere to swim and watch it closely in the back yard and train it to not use the pool. Pool ≠ fun. Water = fun. You can do it.
