K.d. he meant without doing anything. Just telling the dog not to get in I understand, but that’s not an option. Not without a lot of training which will require a leash, e-color or other barrier

Mine wont get in the pool but is always in the pond, I think the chlorine smell turns him off. My neighbor had to put a fence around his pool because his lab developed skin problems from the chlorine. At least it knows how to get out. One neighbor lost a Bassett in pool and another lost a Jack Russell.

Drain the pool. I had a Brittany Spaniel. You could not keep that dog out of a pool, lake or river.

Does the dog really like water or just the frog. If he wants a frog, feed him a frog.

Trying to break a Brittany of being fond of water would be cruel at this point. And also not going to happen. Trying to break it of getting in your pool is totally different. My lab used to fetch birds, but he’s never once attacked our chickens. Figure out how to train your dog, maybe take it somewhere to swim and watch it closely in the back yard and train it to not use the pool. Pool ≠ fun. Water = fun. You can do it.

I would tell your dog about what happened to Stump jumper’s neighbor’s dog.

Put a hair dryer in the pool, that might do it
