YeeYee We got coach pitch tonight at 6. Gone be a good one! They made us cancel our game last Friday cause of those 2 naders outside of Vernon, and they never even got close to WF.

glad I'm here in the bubble

"..The pleasantist angling is to see the fish
Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

WF might as well be a bubble, yall watch this storm, I guarantee it'll split and hit Electra/Burk & Scottland/Windthorst. Its been nearly 10years since we've had a substantial storm roll through town.

Terrible Tuesday - April 19, 1979 a bit before my time but you don't live in WF and not know all about it. I'd say that one was bit more than substantial! All my family and relatives have wild stories about it. Whole neighborhoods wiped flat. One that got me was my uncle telling me they'd gone to a golf tournament and got back to town after it'd hit, said you never knew how hard it was to find your way through your neighborhood until EVERY landmark and house is gone.

went down for an insurance guy that was a bud of our builder, put tarps on roofs, framed some support walls, pretty much did what was needed to save whatever was left.
one whole subdivision we went by was nothing but slabs, one staircase still standing and everything else just gone. I lived on the nw side of Okie city back then, we had a couple of close calls that night.
