Do you know about Pierce Aluminum in Broussard, Louisiana? I’ve built a handful of custom boats and that’s the go to supplier for hull material. They will roll out whatever you like as long as you don’t get obnoxious with copying anyone. They break sides as well to your specifications. All the duck boats I’ve built are 3/16” bottom 1/8” wall for the most part. I of course TIG as well, but I also have the Miller 350P mig push/pull set up. You can run traditional mig or a pulse mig. It’s the ticket for throwing a boat together.... I do not know of them, I have seen a boat from Martinez welding up close from down there I really liked it. I also really like the GT I just wish they one get the nose down in the fishing platform and level the boat out some to get over the garbage easier.

To the O.P.
Are you looking to stay with a center console or looking for a bass boat style aluminum?
I'm open for suggestions. Wish list, durability, easy launch / load solo, skinny water, 18 ft 7' beam, large casting deck , rod storage for 8, modified V hull , 100hp, power poles I like solo fishing in my 20' CC when the wind isn't blowing hard, But I don't shy away from wind , I can fish all the way around the boat and have multiple places to lean and sit depending on how I'm fishing. I like standing up underway for visibility. I hate getting blown around with poor boat control. It is a hard boat to climb in and out of to load and launch solo. I don't like that feeling when I'm in the junk and my TM starts grinding on rocks and the wind is blowing the stern into shallower water and the big motor is the only chance of getting out. The boat I want needs to be easier to get out of trouble in. I need more of a duel sport motorcycle than a Cruiser. I'm afraid I am going to do some serious damage to the boat I have now and it is in really good shape and I can most likely get what I want and put a chunk of change in my pocket.
GOD is good!

Considering the Yamaha qualification, Xpress boats would be at the top of my list. A quick search on the searchtempest website (craigslist search engine/app) for an xpress boat within a 200 mile radius of zip code 72002 (Little Rock zip code) results in multiple Xpress boats for sale. This one is for sale in Texas, so you could easily go take a look at it/lake test it, and wouldn't have to deal with out of state title and registration transfers.

I went down to Stump Jumper Boats at Center, TX. last week. Darrell and Mike are good guys to work with and I will be glad to go with you down there if you would like to have a boat made. I am waiting for a turn key price before starting the build. - I have owned several of the smaller 18 to 19 ft. boats and did not like the windy day ride and boat controll. - Going with a 21 ft. boat this time with a much heaver hull than the others that I owned. It will be 3/16 hull. - These guys have built a few Bass boats; but mostly build the mud-boats. At least give him a call: 936-427-5120 Website: http://www.stumpjumperboats.com/

Look into the new Xpress H17 or H18. Shipps Marine in Gladewater has a camo H17 in stock right now if you hurry. They come standard with sea deck and either a 90 sho or 115 sho.

If we drive to Center we better be towing a boat and hit T Bend.

If I were looking at an aluminum boat right now, I would check out Rockfish boats. They are inboard jet drives, but they are specifically made to handle some severe abuse. They are designed and made in Kerrville by an aerospace engineer. He builds them fully custom with whatever you want on it. I have been in them and seen the abuse they will take and it's impressive! https://www.rockfishboats.com/
