I finally have some time off and was going to head to Fork. I see the pros are just leaving and thought about Rayburn since its just as close for me. Any info is appreciated. Is it safe to run, do I need a lane chip like Fork? Any help "fishing" help would be appreciated too. Thanks.

I would imagine u can catch fish however u want deep, shallow, etc. lake is safe to run on the east/south end on the west end of the lake I know it can get sketchy but I never fish over there. I would launch at humphreys and stay at the rayburn inn if I was u.

I’d suggest getting the boatlanes chip.

Get the lane chip just to be safe. But...itd be hard to pass up on fork if you're able to get out there in the next week or two during the week. That shad spawn is epic. You can do it on rayburn but it can be hit or miss and the pressure is just as bad as fork in the good areas

Make sure you go on a weekend with a High School Tournament!!!! or Big Bass Splash!!!!

He's already missed the Big Bass Splash but there are many tourneys every weekend so he won't feel alone on the water!
