My friends and I fished with Ed from Ed’s Guide Service Sunday... we left Little Mineral and found a fast moving school of Striper working outside the marina but they disappeared before we could get the A rigs down. We then hit the edges of the river channel and picked up a double of overs on our first rig and then overs on the next run. It took all of 30 seconds to hook up once we started trolling. After that bite slowed we did some precision trolling by reeling up over the points and dropping down deeper on the other side. We caught about 12 overs 2 larger box fish and some smaller box fish that we released to fight again. The fish I kept and cleaned were all males. Once the spawn is over it’s going to get epic!

Looks like fishing is going from good to epic. Lots of people are catching fish! Ed is still trolling but other people are catching easy quick multi-person limits with live shad!

Fishing has been amazing recently. Ed from Ed’s Guide Service is still catching nice fish trolling and Josh from Southern Wind Guide Service and Brad from Circle B have also been catching them on cut bait using splashers and / or thumpers... with summer starting it’s going to get really busy on Texoma, but the fishing is amazing!

Fishing was pretty epic today! I met up with Windtalker from the TFF and we met up with Ed from Ed’s Guide Service who was on a hot bite. His thumper had them stirred up and all three boats were able to catch fish. Ed and I headed in and I had to pick up the family. We returned about 40 min later and turned on my thumper and the fish fired up again. We caught about 20 before the kids were tired and we headed in. The live bait bite is amazing right now!

Did a quick video from last weeks trip. This is how I use my thumper to attract fish. I probably have about 12 spots on the lake that I prefer to fish and normally only have to hit 2-4 to draw in fish with the thumper. This was the first stop I fished at and the same spot I have fished for the past two weekends. As you can imagine, fishing conditions change constantly but I always manage to catch a few... https://youtu.be/ujguo-5x6iw
