I have a question? 2014 TZX195 W175 HPDI While running down the lake the motor just dies, sometimes it will start right up but other times it want even turn over it's like someone has disconnected the Battery. I waited about 15 min and it started right up. I bought Duracell Ultra 31M a year ago and haven't run the boat very much since, so I don't think it's a bad battery. Please help!!!!!!!

Fuel filter may have trash in it.

check your grounds first, bad connection could do that.

power packs/coils (whatever a yamajama has), look for burned spots or melted stuff.

have the battery load tested. you can buy a tester at wally world or any auto parts for about 35.00, good to have around if you have battery problems.

last but not least, send it to hydrotec and have them do a phase III on it, another 100 hp is always nice and it will start and run good.

Like Hop said, for sure check the ground.
I had a similar issue with my boat when it was new. Ended up being a simple loose ground.

If you haven't changed your fuel filter(s) in a while go ahead and replace.

But, this sounds electrical.

Could also be your ignition switch. Check connections on back of switch and check for signs of corrosion.

Did you try turning it off then turning it back on again?

Is the ground on the motor tight? Had mine come loose once.

I'm going to go with fuel filter, engine can get enough fuel to run for awhile then runs out.

Once the engine is off for awhile it gets enough fuel to run again.

But I did have a cracked power pack once that would produced the same effect, once the engine was hot the crack would open and it would fire through the crack. It was much more expensive than the gas filter.

If it wont turn over sounds electrical.like starter wires or something.see if the trim works when it does it.

Kill switch or ignition switch most likley if it will not even turn over then suddenly runs fine,a bad ground could also do that but probably would not fix its self by waiting 15 minutes,i had a kill switch go bad and it was also intermittent,very frustrating trying to troubleshoot.
