The ol Ford sounds sick. 116k on a 2015 F150 with the 5.0 just sounds... Off... Very strange, not a valve slap, just something doesn't sound right. What should I trade her on?
No "get a tundra" gay DaveDave putting his peter in the tailpipe responses. I'm leaning towards a F250 and 7.3 Godzilla engine with the Tremor package.

Yes, he could probably get $50 to $60K trade in value for his.

How about a new f150 tremor?

How about a new f150 tremor? I'd go buy one tomorrow, but they're not out yet. Really the one thing holding me back on the f250 is it's the same interior as my 2015, really boring. I might settle for a f150 if the deal is good. Wish I could get the Tremor.

Buying a gasser in a 3/4 ton makes zero sense to me. I tried really hard to talk myself into a 6.4 Hemi but couldn't do it. They get terrible mpg and barely tow better than a half ton and cost more. Diesel holds value better, gets better mpg towing and empty, and tows significantly better than a half ton.
But if you don't need a 3/4 ton, it makes no financial sense to buy one.

I can find shortbed f250’s all day long, long beds are next to impossible.
Raptor, Is that a no-go?

In the half ton market, Ram/Hemi makes a ton of sense. That 8-speed is bulletproof and the Hemi has been around a long time. The new Ram interior is amazing and it's the best-driving half ton on the market by far.

Ram engine and tranny hard to beat, but the interior (although looks great) always gave me trouble. I owned 2 Dodge trucks and always had issues with electrical. Whether it was a dome light not working, dash lights stopped working on half the dash, sterio stopped lighting up, etc. It was a constant struggle on BOTH trucks.

They upgraded the interiors in 2014/2015 and my 2018 was freaking awesome - hardest part of not owning that truck is the controls/seat/radio awesomeness. But I put too many miles on a vehicle to keep driving something that gets 18 mpg. I bought a Camry hybrid for $8k and sold my Ram for $30k and used the other $22k as a down payment on a 2019 Silverado 2500 duramax for towing. So now I've got good towing and good mpg...just not all in one vehicle.
