So I'm going to be in the market for a new to me boat as soon as mine sells. I'll have roughly $10K to put down. The boats I've been looking at are in the 20-25K range.

So, with putting roughly half down, is that going to make financing easier? I would assume it would.

I've never financed a boat before and I don't want a very big payment.

Any advice?

yes the down payment will help along with the year of the boat and length of your loan, you can give us a call and we can walk you through the process

If you have good credit try to work out the best deal you can with the lowest down payment . Also get the lowest interest rate possible. I personally like to put the least money down and use someone else's money when buying "big ticket items". A good monthly payment that fits your budget, lowest interest rate you can get, and the least amount money you can put down, is the way I would go. If your credit is not that good I would still look for the better deal and still try to put the least amount of money down. The more money you can save is the overall goal. Just my two cents. 2cents
