I'm in the market for one with a 16 or 18 inch bar. Renting one adds up over time so I might as well have my own. Which one would y'all prefer?

My Echo starts on the fourth pull every time. Been flawless and used a bunch.

Had bad luck with 2 different Poulans from Lowes. They lasted about one good size tree and then the gears froze up or stripped.

My Echo trimmer and blower have been so good that I bought an Echo chainsaw a couple of weeks ago. I used it for first time and was impressed. I will just use the canned fuel in it and it should last a long time.

I have a couple of Husqvarna and they are bad to the bone. Stihl is a great option too but I didn't have a dealer close by when I bought my first Husqvarna.

Stihl absolutely holds together. I’ve got a big and a small. After Harvey we cleared my two houses, the two neighbors who’s saws quit and the other two neighbors across the canal. Still going strong.

What has happed to you does not define who you are-
HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

It's better to spend the money on a good brand rather than the cheap ones. I got a husqvarna and I like it. I actually got it from my wife's uncle and it didn't run. Cleaned it up, put the right chain on it and put a new carb and it fired up first pull. It was an 18" but I put a 20" bar on it and it works good with it. I bent the 18" and it would bog it down in any bigger trees because it couldnt cut straight
