Well, if anything, this shows the need for video in the boats at bigger events. Not that I think this situation is a huge problem but what else happens that flies under the radar?

So how long till all boats are required to have video of their complete tournament day available for the TD?

Actually it makes a big difference. I think this was outright cheating and hope that is the way Champs sees it. But most tournaments have a rule you can't fish if you have ever been dq'd for cheating. They don't have that for minor rules infractions.

300 boat tournament that lasts from safe light to 3pm. that's like 3000 hours of video footage to review.

Has the official Bass Champs ruling been made public?

I think it was made public when the results were adjusted and that's about all we will see.

Sorry, should have expanded on my thought. Just have the video so that if someone is protested or something like this happens, the angler can have "proof" of certain events. Not necessarily so TD's can watch everyone's TOW. IDK man, just bored at work...

Or they could post it up online unedited, there are plenty of busy bodies that would go through every second of it to find "offenses"

Something tells me these guys didn’t graduate at the top of their class.

The organization wouldnt have to watch each competitors video but also, this violation wasnt caught by someone that protested. This could have still went without being caught had they not posted it themselves. I would think though, that knowing your on camera and audio for the tournament organization to view would curb a lot more than the thought of a lie detector. Maybe they should go back and review one or a few from some events for random checks plus like you said if a protest comes up it's perfect evidence for either party involved. I think it wont be long until we see this start happening. It's a win win for the organizations, they are doing all they can to stop cheating and have video proof to use to determine anything.

I think cameras would help.

Anytime money is involved people will cheat or bend the rules to get paid.

Thus the old adage: If you ain't cheatin...you're cheatin yourself!

Sounds like they need to learn to do their own editing.
